My best friend dared me to cook something this week and write a post about it on the blog. I didn’t cook something crazy or difficult, but she said nothing about the food being fancy or whatever which is why I think these meals will suffice.
A few days ago I made a yummy yummy salad with half a cabbage, two carrots and an apple. Can you imagine how delicious was the salad? And I think we need to thank the apple. For dressing I used a little bit of mayonnaise, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. If you feel like it you can also add one or two boiled eggs. If you care too much about calories, replace the mayo with some low-fat yogurt. This salad was filled with deliciousness
And because Spring is here the market is ALIVE!! (Not that it was dead in the Winter time, but it was a little bit boring and pricey.) I did some shopping and I prepared a Mediterranean-inspired salad. Some spinach leaves, some cherry tomatoes, olives and feta cheese, and for dressing just some olive oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. It was amazing!
And today I was in the mood for mashed potatoes. So I made some and it’s super yummy! Guess you all know how to make mashed potatoes, but if not… here’s how: you will need 6 medium potatoes (for four serves), piled and cut in small pieces. Put water over them and put it on medium fire – you boil them until the potatoes are soft enough to mash. Then you get rid of the remaining water, add some butter, milk and salt, pepper and mash, mash, mash!
